You can jump start your metabolism and keep the weight off by using a healthy weight loss cleanse. A proper cleansing diet naturally raises metabolism and keeps it stimulated. The supplements used during a cleanse can help your body eliminate built up waste. This is important since this buildup can be stored as excess weight and can make it difficult to lose weight.
Metabolism is a two part process that is measured by how well your body assimilates nutrients and how well your body eliminates waste. By understanding how these two processes work, you can learn how to raise your metabolism. You also will be able to keep it raised so you keep the weight off once you lose it.
How well your body assimilates nutrients depends upon how strong your digestion is. Strong digestion will break down food into the smallest particles possible. Then these smaller particles can be separated so the nutrients can more easily be extracted and absorbed into your blood stream. But how do we create or ensure strong digestion?
The first stage of digestion happens in the mouth. Enzymes found in saliva start the digestive process and get the food ready to be further broken down later in the digestive tract. It is interesting to note that if food isn’t properly chewed (and mixed with saliva), it will not be properly digested later. Also, eat while relaxed to ensure your saliva is full of enzymes, as the more stressed we are, the less enzymes we are likely to have.
Start your digestive process each day by eating one or two pieces of raw fruit in the morning. Begin lunch and your evening meals with a green, raw salad. The fruit you start your day with will help your body’s natural cleansing process and stimulate your natural digestive enzymes. The green salads used to start your later meals will add to and stimulate your own natural digestive enzymes, preparing it for the meal ahead.
And lastly, to stimulate digestion, don’t overeat. When we overeat, we tax the digestive system and can even shut it down. By eating appropriate portions, your body is better able to break down the foods and move them through. Try eating 1 cup servings of each veggies (2-3 per meal), 1 cup only of starches or grains and a protein serving the size of your palm.
Use cleansing supplements - sometimes called colon cleansing supplements. A cleansing supplement program will help break down accumulated waste that may be stored as excess weight and/or fat, which ensures your second stage of metabolism is working efficiently. This is encouraging for any weight loss cleanse and important for the second part of metabolism - how well your body eliminates waste. Many of us are unaware that we need this, but think about it - an efficient body eliminates waste, it doesn’t store it as extra weight.
